Trip to Arkham

Sun Aug 30, 2009, 6:52 PM
So tuesday I picked up Arkham Asylum, and it is Kick-Ass! I've been playing it like crazy, but finishing it just makes me want more. :( I hope it sells well so the team behind it can pop out a sequel, or just another Batman game in general. Paul Dini was pimpin' on the story so you know it was good. I swear they have to make a Dark Knight Returns movie with Mark Hamill, that would be insane! Anyway, I just wanted to tell anyone that if you haven't played this game for whatever reason, you're missing out Big Time. Go Get That S#@*!

Wolverine

Thu Apr 30, 2009, 8:02 PM
Saw XMen Origins last night, it was pretty good, I don't know why people have been ripping it so badly. I went in thinking "okay, I know I've read the comics but hollywood never follows it anyway, I'll try not to compare so much", but I found myself comparing lots of parts anyway. Sometimes I hate being a nerd. Anyway, I was surprised that of all X movies this one had some of the worst vfx, Wolverines claws looked fake as hell in some scenes. I was sitting their like "Wow, how do you make his claws looks that bad this far in the franchise?" The action was pretty over the top, which was fitting seeing how it showed just how destructive Logan can be. Sabretooth was alot better than the retarded portrayal in the first film, but the whole running on all fours just looked weird. The opening was surprisingly pretty faithful to the Origin comic, but as the film went on it started to stray from the source, even making major (some traumatic) events look like just another day in Logan's life. For some strange reason they decided that Logan meets almost the entire XMen roster (although it was kinda fun seeing some of them) before joining the team, and so many that I could care less if they lived or died. As far as the X movies goes it was a good addition, better than X3. Personally, I think they should've done the Origin comic and the Weapon X comic as one 2 hour film.
Overall it was a good, and definitely not the worst comic movie. It Definitely makes me want to do some Wolvie art, then again I draw him all the time.
If they continue a Wolverine franchise, the sequel should most definitely have him facing the Hulk. I would pay IMAX prices for that.

And Deadpool is definitely getting a spin off. At least he Should.

P.S. I mentioned the Bad VFX, wait till you see what Xavier looks like.

Too Many Mutha'uckas

Sat Mar 21, 2009, 10:05 PM
Just recently got into Flight of the Conchords, the hilarious series on HBO, but what sucks is the season finale is this sunday. :( Oh well, now I can check out season 1. If you haven't watched it, it's really funny. They're like the folk version of Tenacious D mixed with Lonely Island, but better and from Neverland? New Zealand? Whatever Been playing Resident Evil 5, which is fantastic, you just have to get used to the controls. Killing infected villagers is a great stress reliever! Who knew?

Oh yeah! I've got 1,000 page views? Really? Here's to 2,000....

My First Journal/Watchmen

Fri Mar 6, 2009, 9:39 PM
This is my first journal, and it is to tell anyone to see Watchmen. I caught the midnight showing in IMAX yesterday and Holy Shit! Now I've only read some of the book, but I really enjoyed it. Zack Snyder's visuals are amazing, it's like an orgy for the eyes, and the audio kicked like a mofo! It was really quite exciting, my only problem was that you could feel the length, and it felt like there were scenes cut from it. It's not your typical comic book movie( although Watchmen isn't your typical comic) and I understand why some won't understand it, but still it's a great film.

Jackie Earle Haley was amazing as Rorschach, so Bad-Ass!

Oh Yeah, Carla Gugino is SO FUKIN HOT!!!

I definitely going to pick up the book, and pump out some fan art.
Anyway, I highly recommend it. ;)
